Around 7 a.m. this morning Sardine Fever erupted on a stunning Margate Beach as netters hauled in tons of Sardines in perfect weather. The excitement that these little silver fish cause is amazing and something to be witnessed first hand. The sand became a cinema for both locals and holiday makers as they sat on buckets watching what the experts (the fishing fraternity) predict may just be the start of a sardine extravaganza over the next month.
When my mom (Corrrie Wernick from the MBA) saw Kurt Darren in Quizz she could not resist the urge to meet him and take some photos' with the "Kaptein" singer.
The annual three day Margate Golf Challenge which took place on 17th, 18th & 19thJune ended in style as team John Webster and Barbara Jackson won the competition and each walked away with a fabulous flat screen television set.
Pedrie, the Green Keeper, received accolades for a course in tip top condition and many other prizes were awarded for individual achievement over the three days.
