On the 04th January 2011 this magnificent 16.5kg Baracuda was caught off our newly renovated Fishing Pier by one of our locals.
The people of Margate have joined effort by the HibiscusCoastMunicipality in to upgrade Margate. By the end of November most renovations, upgrades and the most important capital project being the revamp of the Margate Pier will be completed.
We are all proud to reinforce our commitment to tourism and have no doubt that visitors to Margate will have an unforgettable holiday. Besides all the wonderful activities that will take place on the MargateBeach during the December holidays, many other places of interest around Margate can be sourced at the Margate Tourism office on the Beach Front. A visit to this office is definitely worthwhile.
A not to miss is the Margate Mardi Gras in the main street of Margate on the following dates:
05 Dec – 15 Dec – 22 Dec - 29 Dec & 05 January 2011. (If it’s raining the event is postponed to Thursday) Watch the fabulous new digital sign outside the Margate Post Office for details of events.
We thank all our role-players for their commitment and wish all our visitors an awesome holiday in Margate.
