Go Bafana Go 

Whilst World Cup fever is at a “pitch”, just the mention of a soccer ball, a fire, and of course something to sooth the throat,   a few people get together to support their team. This was a group of people who shouted until hoarse for Bafana, and became experts at the Vuvuzela when Bafana scored a goal. Send your pictures of World Cup experiences to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. On Friday people in the facinity of Pam Golding Properties in Margate flocked to see Dina Porteous her staff, and the newly appointed Chairperson of the South Coast Tourism Area Committee doing the Diski!  Vuvuzela’s appeared from everywhere as passers-by joined in the celebration of this special time.   Corrie Wernick and Diane Duncan were there to capture the wonderful atmosphere….

Yvonne Booysen no stranger to Tourism Print

After the recent South Coast Tourism Margate Area Sub Committee AGM, Yvonne Booysen was elected as Chairman.
 Yvonne comes to us with many years of tourism experience.  She spent over 15 years in the Margate Tourism office and left South Africa to run a top class resort in Malaysia when she was offered a job by an International Property Group.The Margate Business Association congratulates Yvonne on her appointment and wishes her and her Committee the best for the future.

Amid very tight security this morning Algeria were seen practicing at the new Ugu Sports Centre.  Algerian fans wrapped in flags were joined by Bafana supporters to welcome the Team to the area.

Margate Centenary Legacy: Investing in People Print

 The Centenary Informal Trader initiative was born when role-players identified the importance of the second economy and the need for elevated development, training and tourism presentation.

The informal sector was initially addressed by Mr Siyabonga Zama who conveyed the objectives of Hibiscus Coast Municipality in terms future expectations relating to permits, product mix and tourism standards.
